The Fort

Once a key U.S. Army post, Fort Benjamin Harrison is now home to an Indiana State Park and a Pete Dye masterpiece. The Fort Golf Course at the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park is located in Lawrence, Indiana just a few miles east of downtown Indianapolis. The Fort is one of Indiana's finest public courses and ranked annually by national golf publications as a top ten in the state. Like all of the facilities on the Pete Dye Golf Trail, multiple tees ranging from 5,045 to 7,148 yards, provide golfers of all skill levels the challenge they desire.

The golf course is only a part of the story. Immediately adjacent to the golf course is The Fort Harrison State Park is the complex known as The Fort Harrison State Park Inn. Dating back to the 1900’s, buildings that once housed a military hospital,

the officer’s club,

and officer’s homes,

are now fully appointed guest lodging options with banquet and conference facilities. All are a very short walk from the first tee of the golf course.

When you combine the quality of the golf course, with the unique quality of the accommodations, and access to the 1700 acre Fort Benjamin State Park, you have one of the great golf destinations in the Midwest.
